The eyeliner, by definition, emphasises and intensifies your eyes. It is applied close to the eye and must therefore be safe. ZAO eyeliner reduces the risk of redness and irritation. It’s formula has been developed with high-quality raw materials for regular use and is suitable for sensitive eyes.
Packaged in a unique, varnished bamboo case and attractively packaged in a cotton pouch with drawstring, ZAO makeup is both a beautiful gift and an item to treasure.

Instructions for use: SHAKE BEFORE USE.The thickness of the line depends on the amount of pressure you apply. So, for a thin line, press the brush lightly; for a thicker line, apply slightly more pressure. On the upper eyelid, paint the line on the closed eyelid close to the roots of your eyelashes. Start from the inner corner and move towards the outer end of the eye.
ZAO Beauty Tip: To get to the roots of your lashes more easily, close your eye lid and gently pull the skin up at your eyebrow. To get a perfect line, start at the centre of the eye lid and draw the line outwards to either side. Then draw from the ends to the centre of the lid to finish the line off.
Thin lines are recommended for small eyes. The thicker the line, the more of the eye lid is covered, making the eye look even smaller.

Phyllostachys Nigra Extract* (Organic bamboo leaves hydrosol) – Regenerates epidermis: product of the distillation of bamboo leaves, It is mainly composed of pure silica and has been widely used in oriental medicine. Organic silica, which is a component of connective tissue, is present throughout the human body and regenerates the epidermis as it is involved in the synthesis of collagen and elastin. Over time, our capital silica diminishes causing demineralisation and loss of skin elasticity. It is therefore necessary to regularly replenish the skin with transcutaneous supplies. For this reason, most of the products in the ZAO range contain organic silica.
Silver (CI 77820) (micronised silver powder): These micro-particles of pure silver are antiseptic (especially on skin and mucous membranes) and antibacterial as well, thereby preserving the product and protecting the skin. Microsilver is often used in creams to treat burns. Almost all products in the ZAO range (except lip balm stick and pencils) contain micro-particles of pure silver (a natural preservative).
Acacia senegal gum: Acacia gum or Arabic gum, derived from the acacia senegal tree, is used as a bonding agent which improves the mascara and eyeliner’s hold. Its wealth of polysaccharides and glycoproteins also makes it a real tightening and lifting cosmetic asset. In addition, acacia has softening, soothing and healing qualities for fragile mucous membranes, which helps prevent irritation when applying mascara.
Silica (organic silica):The human body contains about seven grams of silica, far more than all other minerals including iron (and silica is the second component of the earth’s crust with 28% after oxygen with 47%). The essential quality of silica allows the body to efficiently absorb and assimilate the minerals and vitamins. The connective tissue of the human body (cell wall) is composed of collagen and elastin. However, these molecules need silica which is no more synthesised after twenty years old. An external input is needed especially for the skin. For this reason the organic silica is present in most of the products of the ZAO range.
